There are really no set rules when it comes to your wedding rehearsal dinner. It can be a fun and casual theme or an elegant affair. Above all, it should reflect who you are.

The invite list is always the most difficult part. Let’s start with the bridal party & partners, include your parents, siblings and grandparents.

Many couples invite out-of-town guests to the rehearsal dinner as one more way to thank them for travelling to the wedding. You might also have more of an opportunity at the rehearsal dinner to spend one-on-one time with them than during the hustle and bustle of the wedding day.

The rehearsal is a good time to introduce guests from both sides of the family so everyone gets a chance to know each other before the main event. This is always a great ice breaker and guests will be having the best party at your wedding reception.

Spend some time thanking your bridal party for all they’ve done to help plan the wedding day and for their support during the stressful times. This is also the perfect time to give them any gifts you may have put together, especially if it’s something you want them to wear the next day.

While you have everyone together, be sure to announce any important wedding day details they may need to know. If shuttles are collecting guests remind them of pickup times and where to be.

Most of all…relax, have fun, and enjoy every single second of this exciting time. Your wedding day goes so quickly and in the blink of an eye, you will be on honeymoon!
